We are able to work with an array of unions with a total combined membership of over 1.8 million workers.

With a national footprint and a mobile business model able to bring services to where the need arises, SWHP is ideally placed to effectively and rapidly implement large-scale interventions.

We have robust relationships with various stakeholders in the donor-funding environment, including different government departments at national, provincial and district level, health policy makers locally and abroad, agencies of the United Nations, national public health institutes like the CDC, academic institutions, other NPOs and donor funders themselves.  Being able to draw on these relationships and being adept at navigating the complex dynamics between them is critical to SWHP’s success.

Our formal collaboration with key NPOs in South Africa and abroad enables more efficient monitoring of activities internally, opening up opportunities to strengthen linkages through the continuum of care by means of centrally managed relationships, systems and processes. Collaboration also ensures avoidance of overlap and duplication of services, so that resources are maximised and efficiently utilised.

SWHP’s programme is underpinned by a robust, flexible and reliable IT platform. Together with skilled data specialists, this ensures that every aspect is consistently monitored for quality. This allows rigorous analysis of data, translating into meaningful reports which inform strategy and facilitate growth.
